I have never use this feature in any forum (I am member of about six forums) in fact never ever thought of that feature :)

I also never thought of using this feature. However, it's not something we really wish to do or intentionally like to put someone in ignore list. Sometime the situation gets little out of hand.

Unfortunately I had to use it on one forum, it was recommended from the admin of the forum and I am thankful for their co-operation and moral support :).

I agree it should use in unavoidable situation, useful feature of vbulletin. (This software is very smart have lots of user friendly features incorporated)

MrFM as the site becomes more popular Im afraid we might have to use it as there are so many different personalities out there and we are bound to come into conflict with some of them. I have found my downfall to be not using the ignore feature and I end up getting myself banned where if I had used it I wouldn't have gotten banned.
